DevBlog 07/06: Update 1.9

Guysss... SHORT CONTROLED BURSTS with rifles, just like in real life. Hell we even have to do that with more advanced games like ex battlefields... atleast I do! Theres no way to use a rifle and fire continuously without missing like if you were stalone or bruce willis.

I dont fire more than 3 rounds at a time and have yet to see my guns miss. Complaining will not fix your problem, doing things right will.

 

GUY, considering this is a beta game and not an "advanced game" I, personally was used to going through certain levels with a certain amount of guns. P.s. this is not real life there Chris Kyle wanna be, buy Clancy games if you want real life play.

2ndly this is a game against zombies, you really keep referring to real life tactics? I can't make a house out of 40 "pieces" of wood, can you? In this game you can.

Does anyone else feel guns are diminishing in this game? Harder to buy them, harder to loot them. Sucks.

Look, developers already said they wanted to make this game a bit realistic. If Im able to carry 400 pine logs in my bag or build a house with my bare hands is irrelevant. This is a video game and video games will never be realistic. My point is the new "miss" feature is based upon real life guns. If not perfect, you cannot shoot more than 5 rounds without missing your target a lot.

And to awnser your original question, do I feel like guns are harder to get? No. I get the same amount of guns in bunker alpha, and I find them sometimes from the dealer or dropzone just as before.

If guns are harder to find in raids? A lot of people are saying they all have disapeared. But I dont do raid and it was not why I replied to you in the first place.

Anyway, why would you need so many guns? To use them all the time? I dont believe this is the point of this game.

if I was in kefir's dick, I would have spent thousands of dollars on metal walls like you just stated here AND in the pm youve sent me. Also Im not here to discuss contradictions made by kefir. To be able to carry senseless amount of ressources in a bag made of plant fiber and to have a more realistic gun mechanic is deffinately not related. Im not on kefir team and im not sucking their dick either, so if yourself you had put your glasses on to read my message, you would have understood the point of it. I cant be blamed for strange occurences in-game nor do I blame you either, I was simply relating to what kefir said about making their game realistic... now if you need 40 bolts and a bunch of other stuff to make a 6 inch reinforced handle mod has nothing to do with me.

Im not sure who between us is the most arrogant, but certainly you are starting to get some arrogance XP here.

Mod-by all means. If you don’t agree with or like the rules. You don’t have to be here or post. I’d say us mods are very laid back. And ask Very little things. It’s a principle thing. If it’s a rule, please follow them. No need to be disrespectful or knowingly go against our warnings. We do this in our free time and in no way are we compensated. So please. Help us out here ...

 

So we have these weapons with colored dots, I'm not quite sure of the meaning of these. The specialist ask for items, but no idea which one.

After my unsuccessful raids on the blind one, I still have some weapons. One of them is ak with lots of dots. Other things like glock has 5 empty slots. Specialist ask for some stuff...

 

I cant even get into the game now. Keeps telling me I have no connection. Even used turned off my wifi and turned on data. Still nothing. Cleared cache. Still nothing. Hope this gets fixed stat!!

 

It especially sucks for TBO. Takes longer to kill him.

 

I'm just wondering if some of you guys use the speed glitch? It's not a hack just a glitch that makes you run faster. Its fun but don't go over 150, he runs faster then any wolves lol. I prefer 100. I don't know when they will fix that bug but it's fun

 

i think it's quite interesting that the youtubers and many others have absolutely no issue with the speed glitch but decry clear data as cheating. both are glitches in the game and available to everyone yet one is OK and encouraged while the mere mention of the other is a banable offense in Kefir official discord.

What is the purpose of a beta if we can't do that. I mean aren't we supposed to test the game and aren't we influencing it? I am against cheating no doubt but is it cheating to use a programming error to your advantage? They will fix it no doubt. There are soo many things not fair in this game but all I can do is play, enjoy, and share with you in this forum. Not meaning to start an argument like the guys before, just to make sure lol.

By the way is in the next update the watch tower coming ? Just wondering what's in the next update.

 

i'm not arguing that you should or shouldn't use the glitch. i'm just saying that it's hypocritical that some youtubers flaunt using the speed glitch but say that using clear data is cheating. they are both exploits in the game. any arguments for or against one can similarly be used for or against the other.

frankly, i could care less about people cheating or hacking in the game. ultimately, the game is still pretty much singleplayer and anything anyone does to gain an advantage, doesn't affect me or any others in the slightest.

and yes, the next update will include the watchtower. the farm will come in the following update.

 

Yes that's true it's too confusing. Well i guess all we can do is to prepare for multiplayer. I'm a little nervous how they will implement it, since I have my bike ready but it's just useless without the skill again lol.
And the experience is ridiculous. Why can't I just craft a bycile, I don't even know if I spelled it correct lol.

I really, really wish they'd implement being able to hire people to work at your base. Having some coolies to speed up the recycler would be awesome....

 

Guess I can live with the auto gun nerf knowing to use bursts rather than holding the trigger...but the adhesive costs won’t find forgiveness, takes 6 steel plates, 6 nails and 6 leather to reinforce heavy clothing, was nice system, still be nice if it cost 6 adhesives rather than 15
