    Hey all,
Just wanted to give some feedback as im losing hope with this game. Yes i realize its only an early access game, I hope im not the only one who feels this way about the game currently.
(Firstly, sorry for the "TLDR" kind of post.)

I like the game style, bit laggy at times which is annoying mid-battle but otherwise runs good.
I love 7DTD and its great to see a game of similar nature that is simple and has great potential..... but....
Close to level 100 now and it has become groundhog day.
Ive hit a wall which i dont want to stop at, I want to keep playing this but dev's are losing me and my friends ive told about this game.

Currently lvl 94ish, I can unlock and make everything! great!... its a shame i still cant make the basics like the bike.
    - I think ive found 4 engine parts in my total time... not to mention the 100 I need for ATV transport??? does this mean i MIGHT get to use it at lvl1000?
    - I have chests FULL of the same parts I cant use where i only need 1 like the ATV gas tank
    - Yes i hit the bunkers and high end areas but only finding 1 good weapon every now and then, does not cut it when taking on the bunker. High end areas usually have "the big one" where i usually have to leave or die... so its hard to get anything to help with progression.

I really dont want a "whinge" post but the balance is way off here.
the bunker thats green (easy) is out of reach and need the ATV, the next one is harder which i can hit with a few random things but still the same stuff. Nothing like the vehicle parts that i need drop.... and the third is dead and i cant get in???
Air drops dont give anything different, I cant get to the rest stop because of no bike... all leading to = " get your wallet out to progress". Id be happy it pay full price for this KNOWING you could continue to progress, Im happy to throw a few dollars to get the parts for the bike... KNOWING the progression would continue... but such unbalance at the start and reaching lvl 90 with no change... your losing me.

I pray you can sort out the basics, get the core structure solid for players to continue their interest... make it a game where you can still progress with hope... not grind for weeks with no change unless the wallet comes out. I know you need income to keep the game alive by all means, loot crates are optional everywhere, but there a difference of forced selling to progress and slow progression with the option to speed things up.

    Final thoughts:
    - Dogs, i see alot of posts about them, im sure its all been said and covered, ill leave that be. Same with requirement for base upgrades like walls.
    - Give us a 5sec or so immunity when entering an area. Close to every time im getting hit before i can even move!
    - level things out. I find boxes I need a chopper to carry and I still cant find most of the parts for the bike??
    - IF you cant make the drop rate higher, then sort out the crafting. let me make an engine part with a heap of metal or something... i mean, i only have like 3000 scrap metal not to mention other overflowing boxes of crap doing nothing.
    - cycle the NPC/real player bases.

Thanks for the game, its refreshing and has greatness within... but your choice on its direction. I hope you choose wisely. :)

Interesting post Sven. Sorry you feel that way. Yes some elements of the game are frustrating (Chopper) but on the whole the game is a good challenge - if you know how to approach it.

Without meaning to be critical, there’s a lot of holes in your comments above which indicate a lack of gameplay understanding. For example you’re close to max level so you should have been playing long enough to figure out what to use your 3000 scrap metal for, or realise the ATV gas tank isn’t implemented in game yet, and you should be regularly clearing Bunker Alpha and opening all ticket crates for decent loot (including engine parts) every couple of runs.

There is so much information in this forum and on line in general that if you still cant achieve the basics then I don’t really know what else to say I’m afraid...

ATV has tank is in the game , not the transistor or whatever but - but yeah he can always use the extra atv gas tanks in the recycler these days

I assumed Sven mean’t the transmission, so I continued the theme and said ‘tank’ to avoid confusion.

Yes i use the recycler constantly, hence the large amounts of metal.

Wandlewall - whats to understand?, its not that deep. you can either craft it or you cant with what you have? Yes i know you can break down items and smelt into other parts etc... but Im not here to write a novel on what i know or not.
I wish i could just absorb all that you know but this is feedback from a "CASUAL PLAYER" not someone who is taking up shares in the company lol.

Sorry i wasn't more detailed in my post to help you understand, ill expand.
Firstly, how do i reach Alpha when i need the ATV to get there?, which inst implemented yet??
I can only hit Bravo, opening a couple of loot crates from grinding for the tickets... again, over a very long time.

I just wished to give some feedback to keep the game alive. I have friends that have bailed after lvl20 or so. they get bored. I get it, its not everyone cup of tea. Ive had to make a choice, uninstall it or keep tabs on whats happening... hence only just joining here and "1st poster"

my point is about the balance being out. You said yourself, im "close to max level yet cant do the basics", be afraid... im afraid too because it will die before it begins.

My comments are EXAMPLES - like im looking for 1 bike wheel but find nothing but the ATV gas tanks or the truck saw blades... but i can easily BUY the parts i need. How much money have people spent? if nothing then how long did it take for you to get the chopper? how often you do find engine parts? my luck drop is pitiful lol.

I think you mean Charlie is the one you can’t access , Alpha is the one with tickets and bravo is north of it with only the entrance area and no working elevator yet << Charlie is the green one to the south across the river no one can access yet :)

I know how you feel though, I was getting abit frustrated with the game pre-chopper , once you get hat and the generator to the watch tower and open up the north area’s it adds abit of freshness to he play , maybe start working on the sector 7 wall and hope they release a multiplayer zone in the next few updates ?

Can only imagine the frustration people are feeling now they need to grind for a skill to ride the chopper once its completed also , thought that was a bit of a kick in the guts

    Just a couple of thoughts:

If you have too much of anything, throw it away or put it in bait chests for the AI raiders.

If you're getting infected boxes that means you've cleared the bunker on hard mode a ton of times, which presumably means you've also done normal mode plenty, which in turn should mean you're overflowing with guns unless you've been using them when you don't need to?

Keep clearing the bunker and opening ticket crates, and start raiding if you haven't already. From those alone you'll soon have more guns than you can use.

You'll also get chopper forks and wheels from the yellow/red tickets, and the gas tank now has a much higher drop rate from the red ticket crate. I now have 4 spares, 3 of which have been since the drop rate increased and I don't open crates every bunker run.

Sven. I’m sorry but I think your feedback is unfairly negative, unbalanced and the points you make are (mostly) wrong. I just wanted to add my thoughts to the thread so that any new players reading your post would at least think twice before taking your comments on board as true.

Oh and I too am a ‘casual’ player, I’ve just been ‘casual’ for longer than you! o_O

LOL dude, you are not casual = https://lastdayonearthforum.com/threads/i-had-a-dream.4446/
400 posts on a forum for a mobile game? first to jump onto my post to defend the game... I am honestly happy you love the game and respect that you want to defend it but you are being one eyed about it.
Ive posted my personal opinions on MY experience with the game ... that's wrong? I wanted to post more negative things but chose not to because, like i said, i do like the game.
Most new players wont read this, they will read the stores reviews and ratings, which i encourage you to do also. If im so wrong, there wont be ANY posts relating to spending money, bugs or balance.

Ill make it easy for you so you can move onto something more important than my pitiful and unworthy comments,
Yes, my views and experiences are completely wrong.. im off to reassess my myself and my decisions.
You are right, i should just starting paying the cash and stop being the only wrong person. I shall stop looking at issues and pretend they are not there.
I do deeply apologize that i hurt you and the games feelings, you should report me to an admin straight away to stop me from saying bad things about the game.
    Sorry.

Sven. I too am entitled to my opinions and I will air them when I see complaining posts such as yours that are largely a result of poor gameplay and a lack of patience and understanding on your part.

Of course there are bugs. Of course there is a paywall. Of course there is inbalance. And course there are bad reviews. It’s far from perfect but it is hugely popular and currently FREE! If the balance issues get addressed it will be a very successful game. I for one support that.

Things ive stated my my opinion, including support for the game to want it to grow.
So your saying you agree with what ive said?. so why keep stating "im wrong"... why keep trying to put me down? Suppress anything negative said because god forbid there cant be any other views?

You know what... dont bother replying. Your obviously just trollin. I dont like feeding the trolls. i hope there are more open minded people in this forum.

You’re entitled to your opinions as is everyone else but most of your comments are based on untrue preconceptions derived from your poor style of game play.

    For example;

High end areas usually have "the big one" where i usually have to leave or die...
If you 'walk' to the Red Zones you greatly reduce the chance of TBO spawning. I've never encountered TBO in Limestone Spires. Oak Grove or Frosty Backwoods when walking and only about 50% of the time in Pine Wood. Infected Forest is a specialist area where he always spawns.

Yes i hit the bunkers and high end areas but only finding 1 good weapon every now and then
Then you are clearly taking the wrong approach. Try asking for some help as opposed to slating the game mechanics.

Currently lvl 94ish, I can unlock and make everything! great!...
Not everything in the crafting menu can be made.

its a shame i still cant make the basics like the bike.

You can make the bike, and its actually become a lot easier to get the parts. Driving it...well that's a whole other debate!

I think ive found 4 engine parts in my total time...
They are rare but maybe you aren't looking in the right places.

Air drops dont give anything different,
As well as other useful loot they can give engine parts, an item you complain about not having enough of above.

...not to mention the 100 I need for ATV transport??? does this mean i MIGHT get to use it at lvl1000?
The ATV cannot be completed so this is a cheap shot at design. Its highly likely when/if its introduced that the requirements will change. There are dozens of threads on this already.

I have chests FULL of the same parts I cant use
They do have a use. Try recycling.

I cant get to the rest stop because of no bike...
Thankfully you can't. I can only imagine the complaining thread as you get shot apart on your first attempt....

all leading to = " get your wallet out to progress".
You can progress without spending, albeit slowly. Spend away if you want to progress as quick as possible.

Give us a 5sec or so immunity when entering an area. Close to every time im getting hit before i can even move!
Either you're doing something wrong or you suffer terrible lag. Lag issues are discussed in more detail in other threads. Its not designed to be that way so why should you have '5 sec immunity'?

let me make an engine part with a heap of metal or something...
Actually not a bad idea. A shame its buried within the diatribe of your rant.

not someone who is taking up shares in the company lol.
Lol. I wish I did have shares in Kefir though!

My comments are EXAMPLES - like im looking for 1 bike wheel but find nothing but the ATV gas tanks or the truck saw blades... but i can easily BUY the parts i need.
You cant 'easily' buy the parts you need. You can buy a chance to get the parts you need - but there is no guarantee.

if nothing then how long did it take for you to get the chopper? how often you do find engine parts? my luck drop is pitiful lol.
I started mid August. Picked up the Gas Tank and last Engine part late December (engine in an Airdrop) so lets say I started running Alpha around early September so it took about 16 weeks opening Red Crates on an average of about 2 per week. So in total 32 Bunker runs, which by all accounts is quite good going.

You know what... dont bother replying. Your obviously just trollin. I dont like feeding the trolls.
Is airing views in a public forum trolling?

Just wanted to give some feedback as im losing hope with this game. Yes i realize its only an early access game, I hope im not the only one who feels this way about the game currently.
If you'd started off the thread on a more positive note and asked for some game play advice before beginning the rant then this thread would be in a better place now, with plenty help and advice on offer.

To be fair on this comment. It has no real value to prove whether or not he’s casual. He’s been a member for 170 days. 406 posts is literally 2.3 posts a day. That is not hard by any means.
Someone can come in here and post 30-40 a day in no time.

He could also love the forum but doesn’t play too much. Point is, you can’t prove much off your post lol

Either way in the forum world, I’d say 2.3/day is pretty “casual” imo.

As far as casual player. I’ve been around since day one and I’d consider myself a casual player now since I toned down and lost interest and dontnplay much anymore. So he could be the same as well.

The game balancing is clearly aimed at selling loot crates!
I can’t play the game for hours a day. But with the degradation of weapons and armor thats what you would have to be doing to minimally advance. The weapons depreciation is to quick. When i get a good gun it’s gone in no time, like half a bunker. Thats not motivating, to keep going to collect material only to support the most basic stuff thats masochistic.
I was really happy when i started the game cause i like games like that very much. But I’m sorry to state, that game balancing is just designed to get rich...the developer I mean. Thats pretty obvious.
If it wasn’t why is it so frustrating. Sorry to double down but sven is VERY much telling the truth here.

There's a workaround for this problem. Use meele weapons in bunker, and you save plenty of weapons in some week. That's what i did. I use glocks only for FG. Now I have plenty of weapons.

You can also make higher amour of broken clothe for cheap. I myself make reinforced armor from damaged tier 3 armor and so on.

However if one find this game really frustrating, and no fun, maybe consider to quit. Life is not about LDOE, lol

There definitely seems to be two very different game experiences highlighted here. Those that grasp the basics quickly and breeze through the early and mid game grind, and those that simply struggle right from the beginning.

I’m putting the latter down to poor gameplay and lack of patience born out of frustration but maybe there is something else here? Is the game now harder for new players? Is one server harder than the other?

I’m not sure but I thought I’d throw the theory out there..

Everyone is free to speak his mind on this forum. If you play 1-2 hours weekly, or casually, your progress will be really slow. Grinding takes a lot of time, in this case, only way to speed up is to pay. You can buy some wood, oak and iron and save a lot of grinding.
