    I just finished my 3x3 steel room. Took awhile, just got to keep picking away at it

    I haven’t started my steel vault yet because I CANNOT PLAY TILL THEY FIX THIS iOS BUG,
    excuse, cough, something in my throat...

    Anyway, plan to make a steel shield wall to start...be the second layer behind the outer stone corridor, so then I’ll have a larger area faster with steel the short way and like 5-6+ stone walls coming the long way around...
    My base is a giant square with a ring of rooms, inner and outer ring hallways and a grassy courtyard where I shower and recycle things

    Just an idea

    I’ve wondered about staggering steel walls, every other wall, then on next layer of wall, stagger them opposite of first, with the walls honeycombed.

    ~=Steel Wall
    _ and | brick wall
    |_||~||_||~||_||~||_|
    |~||_||~||_||~||_||~|

    Rough idea but essentially if you try to go straight through the layers, you first choose brick wall then once blown open they’d realize next wall straight ahead is steel and they have to blow up a brick wall left or right.

    Prob be just as easy and cost effective to just do one inner ring in steel around my chests.

    If you can't fit everything you want to protect in 4 squares, you might want to consider going a bit larger.

    Actually, it would be easier, more cost effective, and much more secure. Z's and raiders can get through 2 rings of wall that are half steel. They cannot get through a single ring that is all steel.

    Same for me. Haven’t been to Siberia in months...

    Also, since I did lv 1 honeycomb walls, filling in the rest of my base, raiders dont even make it to my 1st outer stone ring wall anymore.

    Yea, as Jarhead mentioned, I recommend going larger when it comes to steel. Maybe not quite as large as 12x8 but maybe like a 5x5. It's pretty funny seeing youtubers with several 1x1 metal rooms.

    To put it in perspective, a 1x1 metal room needs ~95 steel and it protects 1 chest. a 5x5 metal room needs ~740 steel but it protects 25 chests. If you wanted to protect 25 chests using 1x1 metal rooms, you'd need ~2400 steel.

    It's all about the grind man. As an alternative to metal rooms, stone rooms are also quite effective against the current AI raiders, if you know how to create your base.

    dont want to be a know-it-all, but a 5x5 room needs exactly 645 steel (if you only use steel on the floor tiles that carry the walls but not the floor tiles inside). And from experience I can confirm that this is doable if you visit the northern copper zone a few times a week for several months.

    Right. Then build as many trunks as you can to maximize storage.

    Just saying.

    The steel wall 3x3 set in the shop is now down -80%.
    (Black Friday sale. Only today?)

    Holy Kamoly.

    With two of these sets for € 21,- each I could totally seal my inner sanctum where EVERYTHING WORTH SOMETHING is stored.

    Just saying.

    EDIT: Just saw that you get only one of these offers, then it switches back to the normal price. But still.

    As everyone has said recycling, I would also recommend just recycling all the swat armor you get. But a few months ago there where these lottery crates that cost like 2$ (not sure of $ prices as in my store they are sold at local currency) a piece you could buy as many as 20 i believe. There where a 5%chance to get 360 steel plates. I got i 3 times. My problem now is aluminium. I have three 3x4 steel rooms, and are now working on a steel wall around my base. I already have 3 layers of stone wall.

    Hmm, it’s $99.99US today, course $20 is still a lotta cash for walled cell in a phone app game...
    I know, capital value, but still it’s walls...and some floor

    Isn't it supposed to be microtransactions? I'm beginning to see why some peeps have said money grab ...

    At the current exchange rate, that is 80 Ringgit which to me is a lot. I can feed my family of 4 two nice dinners at the warong. (kinda a mix between stalls and diner)
